Import Pocket saves (.csv)

Import your Pocket library into Web Highlights using the CSV file from a Pocket export you already downloaded.

Pocket has shut down

Pocket shut down on July 8, 2025, and its data export closed on November 12, 2025, so you can no longer request a new export. These steps work with an export file you downloaded before then.

How it works

1. Find your Pocket export — Unzip the archive you downloaded from Pocket (e.g. pocket.zip).
2. Upload the CSV — In Web Highlights: Settings → Integrations → Pocket Import (.csv) → Upload Pocket CSV File, then select the .csv from the export.
3. Import — If the file is recognized, run the import to add your saved pages into Web Highlights.

When to use CSV vs JSON

• Use this (.csv) flow when you mainly want saved URLs / reading list style data.
• If Pocket gave you annotation JSON in the zip, use Pocket annotations (.json) instead to bring highlights into existing or new pages.
