How to Export Chrome Bookmarks (+ Restore & Import Guide)

Exporting Chrome bookmarks saves every bookmark and folder into a single HTML file. The exact menu path in Chrome is below, step by step. Once you have the file you can keep it as a backup, move it to another computer, or use it to restore your bookmarks in another browser or import them into Web Highlights.

Every step in Chrome:

  1. Open Google Chrome.
  2. Click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.
  3. Go to Bookmarks and lists โ†’ Bookmark manager.Step 1-3: Open Bookmark Manager

How to Restore Bookmarks in Chrome

  1. Open Google Chrome.
  2. Click the three-dot menu (โ‹ฎ) in the top-right corner.

Note: If you already have bookmarks in Chrome, the imported ones will appear in a new folder called "Other bookmarks" or "Imported."

Import Bookmarks to Web Highlights

  1. Install the Web Highlights extension on your browser.
  2. Open Web Highlights settings.
