Get Instant AI Summaries

Paste any YouTube video link and get an AI-powered summary in seconds. Works with most videos that have captions.

Works in Multiple Languages

If captions exist in more than one language, you can switch between them. If there's only one language available, we'll use that one for the summary.

Smart AI Summaries

Our AI creates smart, concise summaries that capture the key points and main ideas from any YouTube video. Perfect for quickly understanding long content.

Copy and Share

Easily copy your summary to share with others or save for later. Perfect for study groups, work meetings, or just keeping track of what you learned.

Runs on Your Device

Uses your browser's built-in AI, which runs on your own computer. The transcript is not sent to a summarizing server — there is no AI server of ours for it to go to.

Perfect for Long Videos

Great for lectures, tutorials, documentaries, or any long YouTube video. Get the key points without watching the entire thing.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does this work?
We grab the captions from any YouTube video and use AI to create a smart summary of the key points. Just paste the video link and we'll do the rest.
Does this work with any YouTube video?
Yep! As long as the video has captions, it'll work. Whether it's a lecture, tutorial, or just a regular video, you can get a summary of it.
What can I do with my summary?
Copy it to share with others, save it for reference, or use it to quickly understand what the video was about without watching the whole thing.
Will my summary be saved?
Your summary is generated fresh each time, but you can easily copy it to save wherever you want. No need to worry about losing it.
How accurate are the summaries?
Our AI creates pretty accurate summaries that capture the main points and key ideas. The quality depends on how clear the video's audio and captions are.
Is this free?
Yes — no signup and no hidden costs. The free plan includes a daily allowance of AI actions; the paid plans lift those limits. Since the model runs on your device, there are no per-token costs hiding anywhere.
What if a YouTube video doesn't have captions?
If a video doesn't have captions, we can't create a summary for it. We'll let you know right away if that's the case, and you can try a different video.
How long does it take to generate a summary?
Usually just a few seconds. The time depends on how long the video is, but most summaries are ready in under 30 seconds.
Can I get summaries in different languages?
We try to fetch captions in your language first. If your language is not among them, we use the original. When a video has several, you switch between them with the language selector.
How does the AI work?
We use your browser's built-in AI — Gemini Nano in Chrome, Phi-3 in Microsoft Edge — which runs on your own computer. Once the model is downloaded it works offline, and we run no AI server for your text to be sent to. There is more detail on how our on-device AI works.
Why don't I see the AI summary button?
The button only appears if your browser supports on-device AI. You need Chrome 138 or newer, or a recent Microsoft Edge, on a desktop operating system — Windows, macOS or Linux. Mobile browsers and ChromeOS do not ship the model yet, and your computer needs a graphics card with more than 4 GB of VRAM.
What happens when I use AI for the first time?
Your browser downloads its on-device AI model, about 3–4 GB. That can take a while depending on your connection. Keep the browser open while it runs; you may need to restart it afterwards.
What if the AI model won't download or work?
Check your free disk space first — Chrome wants roughly 22 GB free before it will start, which is headroom it wants on the volume, not the size of the model. If it still will not start, try Microsoft Edge, which ships its own model, or read the Chrome AI troubleshooting guide.
