How to Create Flashcards from Any Website With One Click

This guide shows you how to turn any web page into a deck of study flashcards in one click — no account, no extension, and nothing to install. The questions and answers are written by Chrome's built-in AI, which runs on your own computer, so the page content never leaves your device.

Create flashcards from a website

  1. Open the Website Flashcard Generator.
  2. Paste the URL of the article, blog post, or documentation page you want to study and click Generate Flashcards.
  3. The page opens in a clean reader and on-device AI starts writing question-and-answer cards. You can choose how many cards to make with the slider.
  4. Review the drafts: reword a question, fix an answer, or uncheck any card you don't want.
  5. Click Create flashcards to save them as a deck in your Flashcards library.
  6. Start a learning session and study the deck with spaced repetition, so each card comes back right before you'd forget it.

Good to know

  • The generator uses Chrome's built-in AI, so you need Chrome 138+ or a recent Edge. The first run downloads a model (about 3–4 GB) once.
  • It's free and needs no signup. Create a free account only when you want your decks and progress saved and synced across devices.
  • Pages behind a login or paywall usually can't be read — try a public version of the page instead.
