This guide shows you how to turn any web page into a deck of study flashcards in one click — no account, no extension, and nothing to install. The questions and answers are written by Chrome's built-in AI, which runs on your own computer, so the page content never leaves your device.
Create flashcards from a website
- Open the Website Flashcard Generator.
- Paste the URL of the article, blog post, or documentation page you want to study and click Generate Flashcards.
- The page opens in a clean reader and on-device AI starts writing question-and-answer cards. You can choose how many cards to make with the slider.
- Review the drafts: reword a question, fix an answer, or uncheck any card you don't want.
- Click Create flashcards to save them as a deck in your Flashcards library.
- Start a learning session and study the deck with spaced repetition, so each card comes back right before you'd forget it.
Good to know
- The generator uses Chrome's built-in AI, so you need Chrome 138+ or a recent Edge. The first run downloads a model (about 3–4 GB) once.
- It's free and needs no signup. Create a free account only when you want your decks and progress saved and synced across devices.
- Pages behind a login or paywall usually can't be read — try a public version of the page instead.
