How it works

   Find Your Pocket JSON File

   Pocket shut down on July 8, 2025, and its data export closed on November 12, 2025, so you can no longer request a new export. If you downloaded your pocket.zip file before then, extract it. If you made annotations, your zipped folder will contain a json file with the annotations. If you didn't make any annotations, you can just use the csv file and choose the other Pocket Import option for .csv files.

   Upload .JSON File To Web Highlights

   In Web Highlights, open Settings → Integrations → Pocket Annotations Import (.json). Click 'Upload Pocket JSON File' and select the exported Pocket .json file.

   Import your Pocket Research

   If you've uploaded the right Pocket JSON file, you'll see a button to import your highlights and pages. Click it, and Web Highlights will import your Pocket annotations and add them to your saved pages.
