Import

Pocket Annotations Import (.json)

Upload the .json export file from Pocket to import your annotations and add them to your saved pages.

How it works

  1. Export Pocket JSON File

Visit the Pocket export at https://getpocket.com/export. Click "Export CSV file" and wait for an email from Pocket. Then extract the pocket.zip file. If you made annotations, your zipped folder will contain a json file with the annotations. If you didn't make any annotations, you can just use the csv file and choose the other Pocket Import option for .csv files.
  2. Upload .JSON File To Web Highlights

In Web Highlights, open Settings → Integrations → Pocket Annotations Import (.json). Click 'Upload Pocket JSON File' and select the exported Pocket .json file.
  3. Import your Pocket Research

If you've uploaded the right Pocket JSON file, you'll see a button to import your highlights and pages. Click it, and Web Highlights will import your Pocket annotations and add them to your saved pages.
