How to Export Vivaldi Bookmarks (+ Restore & Import Guide)

Exporting Vivaldi bookmarks saves every bookmark and folder into a single HTML file. The exact menu path in Vivaldi is below, step by step. Once you have the file you can keep it as a backup, move it to another computer, or use it to restore your bookmarks in another browser or import them into Web Highlights.

Every step in Vivaldi:

  1. Open Vivaldi.
  2. Click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.
  3. Go to Bookmarks and lists โ†’ Bookmark manager.
  4. In Bookmark Manager, click the three-dot menu again.
  5. Click Export bookmarks and save the HTML file to your computer.

How to Restore Bookmarks in Vivaldi

  1. Open Vivaldi.
  2. Click the Vivaldi menu button (three horizontal lines) in the top-left corner.
  3. Go to File โ†’ Import from Applications or Files.
  4. From the dropdown menu, select Bookmarks HTML file.
  5. Click Start Import.
  6. Navigate to your local backup HTML file, select it, and click Open.
  7. The imported bookmarks will be added to your bookmark collection.
  8. Alternative method: Go to the Bookmark Manager (Ctrl+B) and click the Import icon near the top-right corner.
  9. Note: Imported bookmarks will appear in a new folder placed after all other bookmark folders. Use the Bookmark Manager to organize them as needed.

  1. Install the Web Highlights extension on your browser.
  2. Open Web Highlights settings.
