Engineering Student from United States
What are you studying and which areas are you focusing on in your studies?
I am a fifth-year PhD candidate specializing in biomaterials, stem cells, and lymphatics. My research focuses on harnessing novel biomaterials and iPSC-based differentiation techniques to develop lymphangiogenesis models for drug screening, disease modeling, and therapeutic applications.
How do you use Web Highlights in your daily study routine?
For my research I have to go through a lot of articles and information from the web. I highlight the necessary information from the web pages, tag them for my review and sometimes even import them into notion for note taking purposes.
In what ways has Web Highlights helped you manage your workload or improve your productivity?
The highlights I make remain on the web pages and this reduced my pdf download significantly. Also I use multiple devices through which all the highlights are synced. The image highlight from articles also makes life so much easier.
Can you share any specific examples of how Web Highlights made your studies easier or more efficient?
Writing a good introduction and making a good appeal to your own research always seemed difficult for me. Web Highlights actually helped me to highlight necessary pieces I want from the published articles and make informed and organized introductions. It also keeps track of the sources, so that I can cite them properly.
Would you recommend Web Highlights to other engineering students? If so, why?
I would highly suggest any student to use Web Highlights. If they can not buy the paid version, the free version provides a lot of features as well. The reason behind suggesting to use Web Highlights is simple- organization of information. Obviously it is not a complete solution to anyone's data organization but it can be a crucial part of it.
