How to Export Firefox Bookmarks (+ Restore & Import Guide)

Exporting Firefox bookmarks saves every bookmark and folder into a single HTML file. The exact menu path in Firefox is below, step by step. Once you have the file you can keep it as a backup, move it to another computer, or use it to restore your bookmarks in another browser or import them into Web Highlights.

Every step in Firefox:

  1. Open Mozilla Firefox.
  2. Click the three-line menu button in the top-right corner.

  4. Now click Manage bookmarks.Step 3: Click Manage bookmarks
  5. A popup will appear. Click Import and Backup (โ†‘ โ†“) โ†’ Export Bookmarks to HTML.Step 4: Click Export Bookmarks to HTML
  6. Save the HTML file to your computer.

How to Restore Bookmarks in Firefox

  1. Open Mozilla Firefox.

Note: Imported bookmarks will be added to your existing bookmarks (not replaced). They will appear in a "Bookmarks Menu" folder.

Import Bookmarks to Web Highlights

  1. Install the Web Highlights extension on your browser.
  2. Open Web Highlights settings.

  5. Click Upload bookmarks file and select the HTML file you exported.Step 4: Upload bookmarks file
