How 3 Law Students Study Smarter with Web Highlights
Follow the journey of three law students as they share how Web Highlights boosts their productivity. Learn why they recommend it to all law students.

Law school is challenging, with long hours of reading and case studies that can overwhelm even the most organized students.
Fortunately, with Web Highlights, students can manage their studies more efficiently by highlighting text on any website or PDF, taking notes, and organizing research across devices.
We talked to three law students from around the world about how this tool has changed the way they study—helping them save time, stay organized, and improve their academic performance.
Here's what they had to say:
1. Juliene Ebreo, Law Student from the Philippines

Juliene is a law student in the Philippines who faces the constant challenge of managing the overwhelming amount of legal cases and rulings. She found Web Highlights to be a game-changer, allowing her to read and highlight directly on the web browser, saving her hours of manual work.
We asked her how she uses Web Highlights every day to study for her exams and work toward graduation.
Juliene, how long you’ve been studying and which areas are you focusing on?
I'm currently on my first year second semester Juris Doctor program and I'm expecting it to finish in 4-5 years hopefully.
I still have a long way to go, and I will be using Web Highlights during the whole program [...].
Juris Doctor is the entry level program for those who want to be lawyers. So we will be studying all kinds of laws in the Philippines. It takes at least 4 years to finish the said program.
How do you use Web Highlights in your daily study routine?
I use Web Highlights in reading Supreme Court cases, articles, and other similar reading prescribed by our professors.
Professors in law school give us at least a hundred of cases to read on, and the mere compiling of the cases already consumes a huge amount of my time. Before discovering this chrome extension, I copy the cases online then paste them on MS Word, re-format the font and the size and then save it as pdf file. Since most of the cases have at least 15 pages, it would be a waste of paper and ink if I would print all of them. So I would read them on my iPad and use an app to annotate on the pdf files.
In what ways has Web Highlights helped you manage your workload or improve your productivity?
With the help of Web Highlights, I do not need to compile each case and convert them into PDF. I now read the cases straight from browser. If the font is small, I just have to zoom it in according to my liking.
What I like the most is that the highlights stay even when I close the webpage. It is very convenient because I can just read back the notes and highlights I made anytime I re-visit the webpage of cases.
Can you share any specific examples of how Web Highlights made your law school studies easier or more efficient?
The advanced highlighting is the most useful tool for me. I love the Headings option. It allows me to emphasize specific lines in court decisions which are important. Because I tend to highlight a lot of lines in the cases it would still take me time to search for the most important doctrine. I also love the bullet list option because there are specific doctrines enumerated in the case that needs to be emphasized and the bullet list helps me cite them easily because of the bullets.
Would you recommend Web Highlights to other law students? If so, why?
Yes, I would definitely recommend Web Highlights.
In fact, a few hours after using this extension I already recommended this to my friends. This is the kind of tool that I do not want to gatekeep. This is really helpful to students and also to the environment by reducing the use of paper.
