Readwise Reader wants you to read \u003Cem>in Reader\u003C\u002Fem>: you save a\n  page, it opens in a clean reading view, and you highlight there. That’s great if you like reading in one app.\n\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\n  Web Highlights works on the page itself. You read the article where it lives, select a sentence, and it’s highlighted\n  — on the original site, with the sidebar showing your notes next to it. Come back next week and your highlights are\n  still on that page. If you prefer a clean view, there’s a reader mode too, and it works on PDFs.\n\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\n  Neither is better in general. If you love a reading inbox, Reader fits.
